Each location offers a unique opportunity to taste and experience locally made products. Stop in for a pancake breakfast at Shaker Village and then enjoy a relaxing day viewing free historic exhibits and modern demonstrations by North Family Farm, tour Canterbury sugar houses, and visit local businesses throughout town. Stay overnight in Canterbury, and enjoy a hearty homemade breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients.

Canterbury Shaker Village, Inc., is an internationally-known non-profit museum and National Historic Landmark founded in 1969 to preserve the heritage of the Canterbury Shakers.

North Family Farm

North Family Farm is named after the North family of the Canterbury Shakers who settled here in 1792. Since 1950, we have been a family-owned business. Renewable energy from wind power, solar energy, biodiesel and sustainably harvested firewood is used to create our New Hampshire Certified Organic Maple Syrup.

Lamb's Maple Syrup
Conveniently located near Canterbury Shaker Village, in our newly expanded timber framed sugar house we use tried and true traditional techniques and the most current all stainless steel equipment for exceptional quality maple syrup. Syrup samples, donuts, sugar on snow will be offered to visitors.

Fox Country Smokehouse
Brookford Farm
We are a 600-acre diversified farm with 35+ acres in certified organic vegetable production. The farm is also home to cattle, hogs, and chickens, all rotated on pasture as the seasons allows. Our cows are 100% grass fed and our pigs and chickens are supplemented with non - GMO grain. Our products are distributed to a 250+ member year-round CSA, restaurants, retail stores, and farmers markets. Milk from our dairy herd is bottled raw or turned into a wide variety of dairy products in our creamery.

Find locally made art and crafts by many talented artisans, including Winnipesaukee Chocolates and Kathie Fife Photography. Kathie's art includes the design of the marketing materials and this website. It was Kathie's idea to collaborate with Canterbury businesses to create the Canterbury Maple Festival event.
